My husband and I got ripped off by a contractor, as did about 13 other people. The DA charged the contractor with corporate fraud, racketeering, and theft by deception. The local police department was involved, but when it came to testifying against the contractor, the investigator lied under oath and as a result the judge threw the case out of court. So we, the victims, have gotten no justice. Can we take legal action against the PD and/or investigator who caused the case to be thrown out of court?
The judge stated that it was clear that the investigator committed perjury by lying under oath.
